13/05/08 The cable market within New Zealand has been volitile for some time with the world demand of copper being the major factor in the trade price ( list price ). This over time has made the trade price unrealistic and therefore the cable suppliers have decided to make radical changes on the 1st of July 2008.
General Cable New Zealand Ltd and also Olex new Zealand Ltd have made announcements so far that the reduction of some of the trade prices shall come into effect at that time. We have attached their official letters for you to see.
Although the list price will change these two suppliers have announced cable price increase of 4% (as per their respective letters) on June 1st 2088
