Going Digital
After New Zealand goes digital, you'll have a choice of continuing to watch free-to-air TV or subscribing to pay-TV.
Free-to-air television is available in three ways - through a UHF aerial, satellite or cable. Pay –TV services include the free-to-air digital channels as part of their subscription package and are available by satellite dish and cable. Freeview-compatible devices such as TiVo and PlayStation 3’s Play TV can also be used to view Freeview|HD where it is available.
Remember, digital broadcasts are already in place throughout the country, so you can go digital now if you want.
