16/05/06 The three main cable companies in New Zealand ( General Cables, International Wire and Cable and Olex ) have confirmed that there will be a further price increase on June 1st 2006. The effected product groups are:
All copper energy cables including VSD cables +15%
All Aluminium cables + 5%
Other energy cables +5%
Instrumentation cables +5%
Data cables +5%
The reasons for this increase have been advised as there is a rapidly escalating raw material cost coupled with foreign exchange rate fluctuations.
New price lists will be distributed as soon as possible.
