07/08/2006 Thorn Lighting (NZ) Ltd have said that of recent times there have been considerable upward price movements that have had a marked affect on their locally manufactured and imported lighting products.
Thorn continually receive price increases from their raw material suppliers on a regular basis for items such as steel, packaging materials, paint resins and ballasts. The cost of products sourced from overseas has already incurred significant increases due mainly to the reasons outlined above and on top of this they are now faced with higher shipping costs.
Thorn therefore have no option but to inform you of a general increase in the published trade prices which shall be implemented on October 1st 2006.
As a guide prices will increase between 5% - 10% depending on whether they are locally manufactured or imported products.
A new price guide will be available and become effective on October 1st 2006.
