Stewarts Electrical Supplies  (Andrew Stewart and Sons Ltd T/as ) was established in 1945 after Bob and Arnot Stewart returned from the second world war. They were allocated import licenses to assist in starting the business. Their father, Andy, had worked in the electrical trade for many years, so electrical wholesaling became the chosen business. The company went from strength to strength to become the well established and respected company it is today.

Although the founding directors have sadly passed on, the ownership and management of the company remains within the Stewart family. From one outlet in Palmerston North in 1945 with sales representatives travelling to the Taranaki, Hawkes Bay, Horowhenua, Wairarapa and main Trunk areas.

The company has grown to now have branches in Paraparaumu, Levin, Palmerston North, Masterton, Napier, Hastings, Wanganui, Hawera and New Plymouth plus our latest branch in Lower Hutt.

The current directors Murray Croucher, David, Peter and Vicki Stewart pride themselves in continuing to provide their clients with the most comprehensive product range in each outlet, with quality service from knowledgeable and friendly staff.

One of the secrets of Stewart's success is its ability to change with the market at any time and ensuring that we remain a family business with ethics.
